Are Rudy, Mitt and Fred living in your world?
Jim Hightower puts the current GOP Presidental candidates in persective with the work-a-day American with this video. Do the current candidates know how expensive it is to live in America?
Saint Petersburg Florida, a hamlet of suburban mediocrity, is a densely populated tourist town on the southern tip of Pinellas County. Lately our charming community is only noticed during a major storm or a presidential campaign. Each event leaves the rest of the country cheering or jeering at us while the results are always as predictable gravity – another major catastrophe in Florida. As a parent and progressive thinker, I know that we have more to offer.

Try living in the saocialist hell that is England. My husband is from London, upon our arrival at Gatwick, we proceeded to purchase some water, we paid the eqivelant of 10 bucks for the water. Small bottles, very small. A half pint of beer averages 8 bucks and smokes are about 14 bucks a pack.
Two burgers and some fries at a "chip shop" comes to about 35 dollars.
The cost of everything there is so out of control it's painful...and why is that? Well someones got to pay for the free housing for illegals and free healthcare.
Free healthcare that sucks. Free healthcare that left my sweet sister-in-law with a curved spine for 3 years before she could get an operation. Free healthcare that currently has my step-father-in-law in excruciating pain as he waits for emergency surgery, that should occur sometime next year.
Free housing and healthcare that allowed my scum bag father-in-law, who lived in America for 18 years illegally to return to Bngland for both free healthcare(back surgery) and a free home. And I MEAN FREE.
You think it's expensive now? Wait till Hillary is elected.
P.S. I like Huckabee.
Yes, I agree. The government should not own healthcare like in Great Brittan.
I'm sort of diging the Canadian model, but there are some flaws there too.
At any rate, I'm certain that the United States will adopt some sort of universal healthcare at some point, likely soon. There is a strong clamouring out there.
I don't think that the U.S. will ever adopt the same sort of government programs that the UK has, but it would be nice to have a social safety net and afordable healthcare.
